Council Meeting Highlites

Among some of the other items approved last night by council was the re-insertion of 60 thousand dollars a year in funding over the next three years for Grande Prairie Minor Baseball.

The money was part of a five year - 300 thousand dollar agreement first approved during the 2010 budget talks, but was mysteriously left out of the latest three year budget cycle approved late last year.

Council also approved a pair of fire dispatch agreements last night - both for five years in length.

One is the renewal of an existing contract with the County of Grande Prairie, while the other is a new deal with the Town of Manning.
