Community Futures Encourages You To Come Try A 'Taste Of The Peace'

The second annual Taste of the Peace event goes tonight at the TEC Centre at Evergreen Park. The event - which is co-sponsored by Farm Credit Canada and Community Futures of Grande Prairie - showcases food products developed by local agriculture and value added producers.

Community Futures Executive Director Holly Sorgen encourages the public to come to the free event and check out some unique food items. 

"At 6:30 [this evening] Taste of the Peace opens to the public -- you get an opportunity to go in, sample some different fares, talk to producers, pick up one of the directories and see what you can find." 

A change to this year's show is a special networking event between the producers and local retailers and hotel and restaurant managers.

That will take place at 5:30 tonight, an hour before the doors are open to the public.
