$2M For 100 Ave Bridge Repairs

Repairs to the westbound 100 Ave Bridge will cost the City about $2 million if Council gives its approval this afternoon.

The original estimate for the work was just over $1.5 million.

Karin Finney with the City says estimates can be off depending on how much work is out there for contractors.

She says the bridge is in need of repairs.

"We're replacing the whole bridge deck, which means the whole upper section of the bridge. The main pier holding the bridge up will stay and the whole driving surface will be getting a whole new overhaul."

Council meets at 4 o'clock this afternoon.
